Matthew Quinn of Future Sales Factory was engaged by my firm to increase the understanding of the sales process of our team of directors. The team consisted of over 250 highly qualified technically minded directors who worked mainly on an ongoing fee basis. Matthew and his team very quickly got to know every one of them and through a series of meetings, demonstrations, training courses and conference speaking slots he improved their knowledge of the sales process to a demonstrable degree.
One of the major issues we faced was that the directors were uncomfortable with the word 'sales' and constantly applied euphemisms to avoid appearing non technical to prospective clients. This of course had the opposite to the desired effect, which was that clients would use our firm to get ideas and then move to a competitor. Matthew was requested, by the directors, as a conference speaker at every opportunity, both inside and outside of our firm.
